After a disappointing season, the Nittany Lions end their season with a 7-4 record to punch their ticket in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day. Their opponent will be the #21 ranked Arkansas Razorbacks, who finished with an 8-4 record.

It was a difficult season for Penn State. At one point, they were a top team in the nation, only to lose and lose, and eventually, become a non-ranked team. If that's not bad enough, LBs Ellis Brooks and Brandon Smith will sit out of the Outback Bowl to declare for the NFL draft. The madness continues. This game will have to be seen as a great way for the younger players to get some important playing time, and an even better way to end the 2020-2021 year with a win. Also, good news, starting QB Sean Clifford has announced his return to Penn State next season.

Coach Franklin says his team is “fired up” to play in this game, and the importance of getting a win to transition good vibes towards the next year. It's going to be a tough game against a ranked team. Personally, as a -1 favorite, I do like Penn State to win this game, and win big. But I have been wrong before though.

My Prediction: Penn State 30 - Arkansas 21
