Onto the World Series

Citizens Bank Park. This ballpark has been electrified for the first postseason in 11 years. Now, with the Phillies preparing for 3 games at home, they have everything they need to win.

Throughout the postseason, the team has shown up as a complete offensive and defensive unit. They have been almost flawless on defense while making better judgment calls on the field. Mistakes are the number one reason games are lost. Everyone wants that show-time play in the postseason, but knowing when to hold the runner has been a major contributor to this team.

Nick Castellanos, Jean Segura, and Alec Bohm have had some huge plays saving the team from giving up runs. Our infield had a few blown plays but were quick to get back in the game. Which the other side of the game comes in. Offensively this team has increased its production compared to the regular season. With explosive home runs, doubles, and even a couple of Bohm getting hit by the pitch to spark an offensive attack.

The power bats in our lineup, AKA the Old Men, have crushed home runs for multiple runs in almost every game. With our daycare coming in and extending at-bats and adding to the score. With every game that passes, the stars are starting to align with the offense collectively producing at-bats.

If the team continues this trend and defensively keeps a level head there is no reason they don’t win the World Series. With Aaron Nola starting game 1 and Wheeler in game 2, that could have the potential of the Phillies punching one, and if the baseball Gods are with us, two games in Houston. Bring the Astros into 3 games in the most electric ballpark all postseason. This team lives off its fan bases’ energy and when CBP roared it just seems like the balls are hit a little harder.

Friday at 8:03 we will watch our first World Series in a long time. Let’s Phight through this weekend in Houston. Let’s bring the Astros into the most electric stadium in the MLB. Let’s cheer so loud the Astros can’t think properly and boo them at the plate to throw off their swing. And most of all let’s force a parade down Broad Street.

LETS GO PHILLIES!!!
