After 7 unbearable losses the Lehigh Valley Phantoms finally won their first game of the season against the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins. Final score was 4-0.

Leading the team to victory was goaltender Felix Sandstrom. Sandstrom was listed as the first star of the game with 25 saves on 25 shots. This was also Sandstrom’s first ever AHL career shutout.

Now, in front of Sandstrom there were quite a few playmakers. One of which being Tyson Foerster. Foerster is a Right Wing who had 1 goal on 7 shots. Also, netting goals were Hayden Hodgson, Maksim Sushko, and Gerry Mayhew.

Overall a great team effort Wednesday night and Congratulations to Head Coach Ian Laperriere on his first win as Head Coach in the AHL. Also, Congratulations to Felix Sandstrom on his first AHL Shutout.
