Pre Camp Expectations

Coming off one of the biggest off seasons in recent history, the Philadelphia Eagles expectations are mounting across the Delaware Valley. The birds have made some huge moves by bringing in promising young talent, by way of the draft, free agency, and blockbuster trades that yielded players like Jordan Davis, Cam Jurgens, and Nakobee Dean. Plus trading for arguably one of the best receivers in football, after the catch in AJ Brown who by the way is just 24!

Couple these moves with the addition of former pro bowl corner James Bradberry and you have a storm of raised expectations for a young team that has moved its window up to the very near future, while simultaneously having a huge question mark at the QB position.

Jalen Hurts has proven he is an NFL QB but he has yet to prove if he can be “The guy”. Jalen enters this season with more help than ever, while at the same time, under the most pressure he has ever been under in this league. Jalen is a winner and has gotten better every year to this point and has also had the determination to do it the question lay in his toolbelt and the answer in the future only time will tell.

However regardless of Jalen's performance this year. GM Howie Roseman has done an excellent job at prepping for the future, as well with two first round picks next year, we will have the ammo to address the position if need be next offseason. The future is bright and expectations are higher now, than just two short months ago and at this point anything shy of a great showing in the first round of this year's playoffs, will be a disappointment. Of course we all want a win in round one but if we go out in round one in similar fashion to last year's Buffalo Bills team, we should all as Eagles fans consider the season a success.
