Why Jordan Davis is making me look dumb

The Philadelphia Eagles drafted 6’6” 340 lb rookie DT Jordan Davis with the 13th overall pick in this year's NFL draft, a pick that I was very critical of. At the time I felt it was a luxury pick at a position where Davis would be a rotational piece, traditionally you do not take players 13th that will have limited roles in year 1 unless you have no other needs. However with the team's new look defense and big name additions the pick has aged very well. Also Davis looks like a pros pro to this point both on the field and in the media. With clips of Davis absolutely manhandling one of the other promising rookies going viral, Davis has responded in all the right ways uplifting his teammate and explaining that that one clip does not show the player that Cam Jurgens is and that they have had plenty of great battles through camp. Also Davis has shown his dominance with the viral picture of him being triple teamed in the 1st preseason game against the Jets. I hope that Jordan continues to prove me wrong and I hope he continues toshow that he belongs on this team. This of course will help the Eagles as they transition into this hybrid front new look defense.
