After missing a year from the annual all-star festivities, the NHL has announced that the Skills Competition and the All-Star Game is finally happening in Las Vegas. The skills competition includes a wide variety of skills from stick handling to speed skating, and even goalie challenges. The weekend of All-Star festivities ends with a 3-on-3 style game with all your favourite NHL players that are voted in by fans themselves.

From the Toronto Maple Leafs, fans have selected unreal starter goalie Jack Campbell and the centerman himself, Auston Matthews. Matthews was also selected as captain of the Atlantic division and therefore will be wearing a “C” on his jersey during the All-Star festivities. Matthews was previously selected to attend the All-Star festivities from the 2017/2018, 2018/2019, and 2019/2020. He previously was voted Captain of the Atlantic division during the 2018/2019 season All-Star festivities. Matthews is currently stated at 24 goals, 14 assists, and 38 points in 32 games.

This will be Jack Campbell’s first NHL All-Star festivities. Jack Campbell has proven to be a significant member of Leafs Nation. He has stolen fans hearts and proven that he wants to play in Toronto. Campbell has a current .935 SV%. He has really shown his presence on and off the ice. Campbell was originally picked up by the Leafs in early 2020 alongside Kyle Clifford in a trade with the LA Kings for Trevor Moore, a third-round pick in 2020, and a conditional third-round pick in 2021.

Last man in includes many different elite players of the NHL, John Taveres being one of them. Tavares is the current Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs and is currently a vital player to the team. His leadership skills on and off the ice are congruent with his passion for the sport and passion for Leafs Nation. Tavares is currently stating at 14 Goals, 20 Assists, and 34 Points in 34 Games.
