Fantasy Football Week Seven: Starts of the Week
It is about that time in the week where you need to lock in who is going to be in your fantasy football lineups going into this weekend’s slate of games in the NFL. Whether you are trying to end a losing skid or continuing your undefeated season it is important to put in the players that will get you the maximum number of points. First, here are the players you should start heading into week seven:
Quarterback Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott is ready to go after missing the last six weeks of the season due to a fractured thumb injury he suffered in the season opener against the Buccaneers. Prescott has only seen action in one game this season and is expected to start for the Cowboys against the Lions.
The matchup against the Lions provide streaming options for fantasy managers as Detroit has allowed 22.5 fantasy points per game, which is the second-most in the NFL.
The return of Prescott couldn’t have come at the better time as in his career he has scored at least 22 fantasy points in three career meetings against the Lions. The matchup between Dallas and Detroit has the chance of getting in back-and-forth shoot out with the two talented offenses. Stream Prescott this week and feel confident in the matchup against Detroit.
Running Back Kenneth Walker, Seattle Seahawks
Kenneth Walker was in his RB1 role for the first time this season as Rashaad Penny will miss the rest of the season. Walker lived up to the billing last week against the Cardinals as he piled on 110 total yards and a touchdown. He was able to show his explosiveness out of the backfield and he was able to build momentum from scoring a touchdown against the Saints in week five.
This week Walker will face off against a Los Angeles Chargers defenses that has been struggling throughout the season. The Chargers have had a hard time defending the run and running backs have been able to find success against Los Angeles this season.
Walker should be in for another big week as six fantasy running backs have been able to score at least 14 points against the Chargers. Fire up Walker once again as he continues to receive increased volume in Seattle.
Wide Receiver Amari Cooper, Cleveland Browns
There was questions marks coming into the season how Amari Cooper would fare from going from a high-powered Dallas Cowboy offense to a Jacoby Brissett-led offense. Cooper has silenced all of those doubters so far as he has stayed consistent in fantasy football.
Cooper was able to find the endzone last week in the 38-15 loss to the Patriots. He also added four receptions for 44 yards on the day. This week Cooper will face a Ravens defense that have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to the wide receiver position this season.
Cooper has gotten off to an excellent start in fantasy football and that will continue in week seven against a Ravens defense that has struggled defending the pass. Start him with confidence this week as he will continue to be consistent.
Tight End Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Chargers
Gerald Everett has struggled in the last two weeks, but he is still receiving plenty of targets. Everett had seven targets in the Chargers 19-16 win in overtime on Monday Night Football. He would finish the game with 7.9 fantasy points as he piled on five receptions for 29 yards.
Everett has a favorable matchup heading into week seven as they will face the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks defense have allowed the most production to the tight end position this season. Seattle is currently allowing 24.1 fantasy points per game to tight ends.
Fantasy football is all about finding the right matchups and Everett will be able to bounce back this week against Seattle. The veteran tight end will be a go-to streaming option this week against an exploitable Seahawks defense.
