Jalen Hurts is not the answer

Yes, I said it, I wanted him to be. I was excited to see what he could do. I was ecstatic when Doug Pederson benched Carson Wentz, and in came rookie QB Jalen Hurts, I am no longer excited. Admittedly, the play calling is horrendous- we will get to that in a minute. However, his mistakes, lack of throwing a long ball, accuracy, inability to quickly read the field, find his receivers and make plays is horribly inconsistent, and flat out, non consistent. He IS NOT the franchise QB. We can make all the excuses we want. O-line is missing Lane Johnson, he doesn't have enough time and the play calling is stagnant. The fact remains that he isn't making good decisions or making the plays we need him to as the face of the franchise. Prove me wrong Jalen Hurts. Please.

 Miles Sanders is grossly underutilized...again.

Does anyone else want to take one of Siriannis’s sharpies out of his hand and make him wear a t-shirt that says “Run the dang ball” or is it just me? Sheesh, I don't understand what is with this man and what he is thinking. You have a talented running back, elite and explosive some would say, and he has 1 carry for 1 yard in the first half against a Tampa Bay team led by Tom Brady. The league has never been more ripe for the running game, and the Eagles continually fall to adjust their game plan- “Football 101”. Move the ball 6-8 yards per carry and you'll create scoring drives, that is exactly what Miles Sanders can do, I feel bad for him at this point. He is on the last year of a rookie deal.  The Eagles offense needs to figure out how to use him properly and utilize his talents, or let him go somewhere that will. It is painful to watch such a talented athlete being held back from reaching their own potential.

Coaching staff needs accountability, Yesterday and the day before, and the day before…

Howie? Mr. Laurie? I hope you boys are watching. This isn't good. Here we are, in the 2021-2022 season and we are still struggling with effective play calling and game plans. Some would call it a “growing pain”, i call it a lack of discipline- It's hurting this team. Right now, we have racked up the most penalties in franchise history. Jonathan Gannon has stated more than once, his opposition to implementing different schemes because “he doesnt think they work..”. Nick Sirianni has stated he is fortunate to have talented play callers on his coaching staff. He also allegedly tore into Gannon after the loss to the Chiefs. Pretty confident tongue lashing was ineffective.  I am also confident Gannon lacks the ability to see past what he thinks he knows to effectively run this Defense. Sirianni needed to give up the clipboard to one of the talented play callers around him. Gannoin needs more accountability. The Eagles need to steady the ship before the ship drowns.
