Nick Seeler was recalled from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms this afternoon, in an emergency pull up for Ryan Ellis, who re-aggravated his early injury Saturday night against the Dallas Stars. This game was his return to the lineup and Kevin Hayes season debut. Well, that didn’t go as planned, for the Stars were desperate for a win and desperate dogs do desperate things.

The Boys of Broad Street fell 5 to 2 and the fan base is letting them here it via Social media. Consistently, unreasonable but seemingly frustrated. The Flyers record is 7-4-2, which really isn't bad considering the injuries dealt earlier in the season. Now….Nick Seeler. In my opinion, Nick Seeler is the right man for the job, not only due to the lack of defensive depth in the farm system, he has the grit and determination the flyers constantly need. He doesn’t play out of position and quite frankly, he knows his role. Physicality and playing his position can drive this team in the direction they need their defense to be heading in.

Dan Green, from the “Flyer and Ice Podcast” on Heat Ratio Sports Network, had a hot take, “Send down Sanheim and replace him with Nick Seeler" I couldn’t agree more with Dan! Nick Seeler is getting his development in the NHL instead of the AHL and I think it’s actually working! Travis Sanheim is, in my opinion, lost out there and Mark my words, this will be an issue in the near future. It’s a dog eat dog league, Seeler is the big dog on campus. It’s time to make some space in the yard!
